Ok, i have to come on here and comment. Sooo i dont really know how to do hair other than twist my natural hair, which is how i normally wear it. I tried this style and did it as winnie explained and yall it came out soooo nice!! I cant believe i did faux locs on myself lol. I am so happy! I am never going to pay someone to do this style on me again! I did wrap the braiding hair tighter as i plan on lesving this in for at least a month. Some of the ends did unravel so i just put some small rubber bands on there for now. But its all good, i saved time and alot of money! Also, i had to redo a few, so the take down process isnt bad at all, something i was worried about. All you have to do is loosen the hair at the root and loosen the rest of the loc, i twisted it in the opposite direction, and once both parts are throughly loosened, the loc slides right out! Hope this helps! Thank you winnie for this style. You are a great teacher 😊

this might be a dumb question, but how do you wash and maintain these locs? I'm mixed and I grew up with my white mom in a very white neighborhood so i've never had my hair(3c/4a) styled in any way other than natural but I really want to try faux locs, I just don't know how to wash them without being scared they're just gonna unravel or get mad frizzy
